Getting to Dar Sienna

Dar Sienna is in the heart of the car-free medina, with over 9,000 alleys and rather hard to find. Please do not try and find it yourselves! There are lots of false "guides" who will try to schlepp you off to random guesthouses, to earn commission....very unpleasant and stressful.

To ensure a stress-free arrival you will be met on arrival by Ahmed our English- and French-speaking House Manager. Dar Sienna is a 5 minute walk from the nearest access point at Bab R'Cif. Ours is a complimentary service, however taxi and carossa (cart) charges are not included.

We arrange for a very reliable taxi driver to collect you at the airport with a "WELCOME DAR SIENNA" and bring you to the the closest parking point, where you will be met by a member of staff and brought to Dar Sienna. The airport taxi costs 150 dirhams (in total, up to 4 passengers; standard fare for airport/medina journey) payable directly to the driver. A minibus (5+ persons) costs 250 dirhams. There is an ATM at the airport.

Luggage can be transported for you by carrossa (cart) from the parking area. A carrossa costs 30 dirhams on the way to Dar Sienna and 50 dhms on the way back (there is a hill, hence the price difference), but do not feel pressured to take one. If you can carry your luggage, do, if you choose to.

Let us know your train/bus arrival time (also which company for the bus) and you will be met on arrival by Ahmed, our House Manager. Train/bus times are online at There is no charge for meeting you, it is part of our service, however taxi and cart costs are not included.
